Sean Combs Faces Multiple Sexual Assault Lawsuits in New York

The beleaguered music mogul, Sean Combs, widely known as Diddy and Puff Daddy, is now confronted with six additional sexual assault lawsuits filed in New York. Among these allegations is a disturbing claim from a man who alleges that Combs groped him when he was just 16 years old. This marks the initial wave of filings from what could potentially grow into a larger number of plaintiffs, according to a legal team involved in the case.

The lawsuits, lodged on Monday in Federal District Court in Manhattan, contain serious accusations against Combs, including allegations of raping two men and two women, as well as coercing another male victim into performing oral sex. These incidents reportedly span over a significant timeframe, from 1995 to 2021, and all claims have been filed under anonymity.

These new allegations add to the mounting legal challenges that Combs is currently facing, as he awaits trial for federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges while incarcerated in a Brooklyn jail. Combs has entered a plea of not guilty, and his legal representatives have issued a statement asserting that, “Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”

The recent lawsuits were brought forth by Tony Buzbee, a personal injury attorney based in Houston. Buzbee has gained attention for his unconventional methods of soliciting clients through social media platforms like Instagram and has held a highly publicized press conference to discuss his efforts. During this conference, he stood in front of a large backdrop featuring a red hotline number, encouraging individuals with claims against Combs to reach out.

  • “After the indictment of Sean Combs and the announcement that we were pursuing these claims, the floodgates opened,” Buzbee stated during his press conference.

In one particular lawsuit filed on Monday, a plaintiff recounts a troubling experience from 1998 during one of Combs’ renowned White Parties held at his luxurious mansion in the Hamptons. The plaintiff, who was only 16 at the time, describes a chance encounter with Combs where he shared his aspirations of becoming a star. Following this conversation, the suit claims that Combs instructed the young man to drop his pants. When the plaintiff complied, it is alleged that Combs proceeded to grab and squeeze his genitals, marking a traumatic moment that has now led to legal action.
