Prostitution Ring Exposed: Four Charged in Long Island Operation

In a shocking turn of events, four individuals—including a police officer and a high school teacher—have been charged for their involvement in a prostitution ring that allegedly operated two brothels across Long Island for nearly five years. The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office revealed the details of the case on Tuesday, outlining the illicit activities that unfolded in “suites” located in Holbrook and a sex-toy store in West Babylon.

Raymond A. Tierney, the district attorney, expressed his dismay at the involvement of public servants in such criminal activities, stating, “It is a sad day in law enforcement when a public servant is arrested. The allegations in this indictment describe a long-term pattern of organized criminal activity and a shocking betrayal of public trust.”

Prosecutors identified Frank Saggio, 60, from West Islip, as the leader of this criminal enterprise, charging him with an astonishing 51 felony counts related to promoting prostitution. Additionally, he faces charges of sex trafficking and enterprise corruption, as detailed in the official announcement.

Alongside Saggio, three others were indicted: George Trimigliozzi, 55, a police officer from Islip; Steven Arey, 53, a high school teacher also residing in Islip; and Dana Ciardullo, 32, from North Bellmore. Prosecutors allege that these individuals engaged in advertising prostitution services, recruiting workers for the brothels, and collecting the proceeds from these illegal operations.

  • Frank Saggio – charged with 51 felony counts, including promoting prostitution and sex trafficking.
  • George Trimigliozzi – Islip police officer implicated in the operation.
  • Steven Arey – high school teacher from Islip involved in the prostitution ring.
  • Dana Ciardullo – charged alongside Saggio, Trimigliozzi, and Arey.

All four defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them, according to court documents. As of now, their respective attorneys have not responded to requests for comment on this troubling case.
