‘Prix Carmignac du Photojournalisme’ (Carmignac Photojournalism Award) at the Réfectoire des Cordeliers and Musée d’Orsay (Paris, France)

This year, the Carmignac Photojournalism Award focuses on the struggles faced by women in Afghanistan, particularly following the Taliban’s return to power in August 2021. The award recognizes a six-month project by Canadian-Iranian photojournalist Kiana Hayeri and French researcher Mélissa Cornet, who documented the erosion of rights experienced by over 100 Afghan women. Their powerful work is showcased in a double exhibition: the first at the Réfectoire des Cordeliers until 18 November, and the second at the Port of Solférino, in partnership with the City of Paris, running until 18 December.

‘Drawing the Italian Renaissance’ at The King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace (London, UK)

The Italian Renaissance marked a transformative period in art history, influencing artistic values for centuries to come. This expansive exhibition features renowned artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Titian, alongside lesser-known figures.
