Allegations Against Donald Trump: A Look Back at 1993
In a striking revelation from 1993, financier Jeffrey Epstein brought a young model named Stacey Williams to Trump Tower in Manhattan, intending for her to meet the building’s owner, Donald J. Trump. During this encounter, as Epstein and Trump engaged in conversation, Williams alleged that Trump groped her, a claim she made public in a recent interview with The New York Times and during a Zoom event featuring several women who have accused Trump of sexual misconduct.
Williams, who once graced the pages of Sports Illustrated as a swimsuit model, detailed her experience, which has now positioned her among more than a dozen women who have accused the former president of sexual abuse and misconduct. In her account, she noted that some of her friends had been informed of the incident at the time, lending credence to her allegations.
In response to these serious accusations, Trump’s campaign categorically denied the claims, labeling them as “unequivocally false” and suggesting they are politically motivated attempts to undermine his reputation.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time Trump has faced such allegations. Last year, a New York jury found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming writer E. Jean Carroll, who accused Trump of raping her in a department store dressing room. Furthermore, Trump has been recorded boasting about his ability to assault women, adding to the weight of these serious allegations.
At the time of the alleged incident in 1993, Williams was in a relationship with Epstein, who would later face severe legal repercussions as a convicted sex offender. Epstein’s life ended tragically in 2019 when he died by suicide in his jail cell following his arrest on federal sex-trafficking charges. Williams recounted that she first met Epstein at a party attended by models and Wall Street figures in 1992, where they shared discussions about politics. Their relationship further developed when they coincidentally met again at a Christmas party hosted by Trump at the Plaza Hotel later that same year.
